HERE ARE OUR FAVORITE NEW EAST END SHOPPING DESTINATIONS
July 7, 2018 |
There is a mini shopping revolution happening out East this summer. Here are our top picks for best new places to indulge in a little retail therapy.
East Hampton is adding a few big names to its list of luxury retailers. Jimmy Choo has set up shop on Newtown Lane, where shoe-o-holics can pick up the Lance Jelly, a sexy waterproof gladiator sandal exclusive to this location. Aerin Lauder continues to spread her aesthetic with another AERIN, the latest location on Newtown Lane, where the curated categories include accessories, jewelry, home and beauty. For all your posh kids’ needs, visit Petit Blue Where Dreams Come True on Park Place. The gear, clothing and toys are irresistible. Grown-ups, however, might better appreciate the furnishings, decor and fine-arts options at Clic Home, also on Park Place, courtesy of Christiane Celle (Calypso’s founder) and her husband/partner Antoine Verglas. Loro Piana, the cashmere king, is taking over the space on Main Street that formerly housed the Ralph Lauren children’s line, and the Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet opens a boutique this month.
Michelle Farmer Collaborate, a resortwear brand with a presence in Palm Beach, Wellington and Boca Raton, Fla., has opened on Jobs Lane in Southampton. Other newcomers to Southampton include Sam Edelman, offering a selection of shoes and womenswear, and Eleventy, an Italian luxury brand selling its take on chic casual attire for men and women.
Last but not least, Donna Karan and Gabby Karan de Felice are joining forces of sorts. The designer’s Urban Zen is sharing space with Tutto il Giorno’s new, modified Sag Harbor outpost on Main Street. This unique hybrid of food, flowers and fashion is an unprecedented fusion that delivers big on an exceptional East End experience.
